EASTERN CELTS. 3rd-2nd century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 21mm, 11.59 g 2), imitating Philip II of Macedon, ’Birnenscheitel’ type. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right. Rev. Horseman to right, holding palm frond and reins; in field to left, symbol. Dembski 1054-1055. Flesche 710. Göbl OTA 74/1. Kostial 396. Lanz 396-397. Attractively toned and particularly well struck for this issue. Very fine.
