Tiny flan crack and minor file marks on edge at 5-8 o’clock on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.

CIMMERIAN BOSPOROS, Pantikapaion. Circa 200-150 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 15mm, 1.97 g 12). Laureate head of Apollo to right. Rev. ΠAN Facing head of lion. MacDonald 131. Darkly toned as found. Obverse struck somewhat off center and edges chipped, otherwise, very fine.
THRACE, Odessos. Circa 281-270 BC. Bronze (18mm, 5.35 g 1). Diademed female head to right. Rev. The Great God reclining left on plinth inscribed OΔHΣITΩN, behind, upturned amphora; countermark Δ within linear circle. AMNG 2177. SNG Copenhagen 669. Beautiful near black patina. Some flatness from countermarking, otherweise, extremely fine.

Northern Greece (?), Uncertain Mint. Circa 450 BC. Obol (Silver, 8mm, 0.63 g). Ram’s head to right. Rev. Irregular mill-sail incuse with filled quarters. Apparently unknown. An enigmatic little coin. Somewhat rough surfaces and striking split, otherwise, very fine.
ISLANDS off THRACE, Thasos. Circa 463-449 BC. Stater (Silver, 23mm, 8.76 g). Nude ithyphallic Satyr, with long beard and long hair, moving right in the archaic ‘running-kneeling’ position, holding a nymph in his arms, who raises her right hand in protest and wears a bracelet, and thin robes. Rev. Quadripartite incuse square of windmill form. Le Rider, Thasiennes 5. SNG Copenhagen 1010-1012. Nicely toned and of beautiful early Classical style. Good very fine.

ΗΡΑΚΛΕΟΥΣ / ΣΩΤΗΡΟΣ / ΘΑΣΙΩΝ Herakles, nude but for laurel wreath and lion’s skin over his left shoulder, standing left, holding club with his right hand; to left, M. Le Rider 51. Struck on a very broad flan. Obverse a bit rough, otherwise, good very fine.
ISLANDS off THRACE, Thasos. After circa 146 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 30mm, 16.76 g 12). Head of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath and taenia. Rev. HΡAKΛEOΥΣ ΣΩTHΡOΣ ΘAΣIΩN Youthful Herakles standing left, holding club with his right hand and with quiver and lion skin over his left shoulder; to left, monogram. HGC 359. Le Rider 51. An attractive example with a lovely iridescent toning. Nicely toned. Minor nicks, otherwise, good very fine.
ISLANDS OFF THRACE, Thasos. Circa 404-340 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 12 mm, 0.63 g, 12 h), an imitation of an issue from Thasos, for use in the Thracian region. Satyr running right, holding kantharos. Rev. ΘAΣ-ION (retrograde) Volute krater with tall handles. Unpublished and unknown, but cf. Gemini IX, 2012, 80 for another imitation of different style and with blundered legend. Very rare and of beautiful imitative style. Good very fine.
