Pedigree to 1933
LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 300-250 BC. Chalkous (Bronze, 15 mm, 3.20 g, 6 h). Veiled head of Demeter to right. Rev. META Ear of barley with leaf to right and left; to left, monogram of EY. HN III 1693. Johnston, Bronze 57. SNG ANS 573. Attractive brown patina and excellent centering. Good very fine.
