CELTIC, Eastern Celts. Skordoski in Syrmia. Circa 3rd-2nd century BC. Drachm (Silver, 16 mm, 1.76 g, 9 h), imitation of Philip II of Macedon, "Kugelwange" type. Celticized laureate head of Zeus to right, above, circlet. Rev. Horse galloping right. Flesche -. Cf. 615-618 (horse to left). Kastelin -. cf. 1282 (horse to left). Lanz -. Cf. 507 (horse to left). Extremely rare with the horse to right; possibly the second and by far the best example available. Obverse slightly off center, otherwise, good very fine.
