Nomos (Silver, 19 mm, 7.87 g, 7 h). ˫HPAKΛHIΩN Head of Athena to right, wearing a Corinthian helmet adorned with Skylla hurling a stone, a pendant earring, and a simple necklace; to right, Κ. Rev. ˫HPAKΛHIΩN/ AΘA Youthful Herakles standing facing, nude but for lion's skin over his right arm, holding a club in his right hand and a bow and arrow in his left; to left, above, Nike flying to right to crown Herakles with wreath; to right, oenochoe. HN III 1383. SNG ANS 71 (same dies). Van Keuren 83. Lovely portrait of Athena. Minor find deposits, otherwise, very fine.
