CELTIC, Lower Danube. Uncertain tribe. 2nd-1st centuries BC. Drachm (Silver, 19 mm, 3.38 g, 4 h), Imitating Alexander III. Degraded head of Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. HIL Zeus seated left, holding eagle in his right hand and scepter in his left; to left, 'thunderbolt'. Cf. Kostial 889-90. OTA pl. 43, 574. Very fine.
