SELEUKID KINGS. Demetrios II Nikator, first reign, 146-138 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 28.5 mm, 15.92 g, 1 h), Seleukeia ad Tigrim, circa 145-141. Diademed head of Demetrios II to right; all within a fillet border. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ / ΔHMHTPIOY / ΦΙΛΑΔΕ-ΛΦΟΥ / ΝΙΚΑΤΟΡΟΣ Tyhce seated to left on backless throne supported by a tritoness, holding scepter with her right hand and cornucopia withher left; in the exergue, monogram of ΑΥΤ. Jameson 2609 (this coin). SC 1984.1. SNG Spaer 1752. Nicely toned, well-struck and with a good portrait. Minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
