Stater (Gold, 18.5 mm, 8.49 g, 12 h), struck under Lysimachos, circa 323-300 BC, uncertain mint in western Asia Minor or Thrace (Lysimacheia?). Head of Athena to right, wearing Corinthian helmet adorned with coiled serpent. Rev. AΛEΞANΔPOY Nike standing left, holding wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; to left, head of roaring lion left. Price 2698 var. Müller 328. Extremely rare. Clear and attractive. Extremely fine.
