CARTHAGE. Circa 350-320 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 9.30 g, 2 h). Head of Tanit to left, wearing triple pendant earring, necklace, tied at the back and hung with eight pendants, and a wreath of grain leaves. Rev. Horse standing to right; in field to right, before horse’s fore legs, three pellets arranged as an inverted triangle. Jenkins & Lewis Group IIIh, 77-87 (neither die recorded). Well-struck and very sharp, perfectly centered and of great style. Among the best known. Virtually as struck.
