ATTICA. Athens. Circa 500/490-485/0 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 23 mm, 17.45 g, 10 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet, a simple necklace and a circular earring. Rev. ΑΘΕ Owl with closed wings standing right, head facing; behind, in the middle of the field, olive sprig; all within incuse square. Asyut Group IVh. HGC 4, 1590. Seltman Group Gii, uncertain dies. Cf. Svoronos pl. IV. Nicely centered and with a very well-struck reverse. Obverse lightly struck, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.
