CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 240-228 BC. Nomos (Silver, 21.5 mm, 6.48 g, 5 h), struck under the magistrate Olympis. OΛYMΠIΣ Cuirassed warrior, brandishing spear in his right hand and holding the reins in his left, riding horse galloping to right; in field to left, wreath. Rev. Τ-ΑΡΑΣ Phalanthos, nude, riding dolphin to left, holding cornucopia with his left hand and kantharos in his right; in field to right, tripod. HN III 1055. Vlasto 942-3. Clear and bright. About extremely fine.
