CALABRIA. Tarentum. Circa 333-331/0 BC. Hemilitra (Gold, 8 mm, 0.65 g, 7 h), period of Alexander the Molossian, King of Epeiros, 350-330 BC. Radiate head of Helios facing, turned slightly to the left. Rev. ΑΛ / ΕΞ Thunderbolt. De Luynes 1892 (same obverse die). Cf. Fischer-Bossert G3. Cf. HN III 906. Vlasto 1864–5. Vlasto, Alexander, Type 6A, pl.ix, 10. Rare. Some flatness on the obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.
