LUCANIA. Thourioi. Circa 350-300 BC. Triobol (Silver, 12 mm, 1.34 g, 9 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing Attic helmet adorned with skylla. Rev. ΘΟΥΡΙΩΝ Bull butting to right; above, Ζ. HN III 1814. SNG ANS 1155. Toned and with a particularly well-made and detailed obverse. Minor traces of corrosion, otherwise, extremely fine.

From the collection of W. F. Stoecklin, Amriswil, Switzerland, and from that of Dr. L. Naegeli of Zürich, acquired prior to 1951.
