EASTERN CELTS. Late 2nd-1st century BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33mm, 16.36 g 1), imitating Thasos. Celticized wreathed head of Dionysos to right. Rev. Celticized Herakles standing facing, holding club in his right hand and lion skin with his left; ribbed and dotted imitative legend. Göbl OTA pl. 48/49, Klasse V. Lanz 983-994. A nicely toned example struck on a wavy flan. About extremely fine.
