From the collection of a scholar.

The coinage of Ophrynion is one of the few instances in ancient numismatics that bears a portrait of the Trojan hero Hektor. Thus, this is one of the few chances for a collector to acquire a depiction of the legendary warrior, who was famously killed by Achilles in the Iliad. Ophrynion appears to have had a hero cult dedicated to the defender of Troy, and claimed his burial place was in the city. The earliest evidence of this tradition can be found on a vase by Onesimos dating to the late 6th century, and it may have been referenced in a lost play by Sophocles.
