Persian occupation of Syria. Heraclius & Constantine, AD 610 - 630. 40 Nummia or Follis (Bronze, 26 mm, 8.56 g, 5 h), Barbarous imitation. Two crude figures each holding cross in their right hand, cross between their heads; Around barbarous legend, I to left, ИΛI (?) downwards to right, Λ(?) below. Rev. 'M' in the center with cross above, below officina letter A; IЄHΛ upwards to left, IHꟼ (?) downwards to right; NΛI in exergue. Henri Pottier, 7th Century ‘barbarous’ Folles; a Secondary Mint in the Eastern Part of the Byzantine Empire under Persian Rule, No. 23. Very rare; green patina. Very fine.
