KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arsames I, circa 255-225 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 17.5 mm, 3.75 g, 12 h), first series. Diademed head of Arsames I to right, wearing bashlyk with beaded edges. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΑΡΣΑΜΟΥ Head of a horse to right. ACV -. CAA -. Kovacs 3 (this obverse die). Rare. Dark brown patina with particularly pleasant details for issue. Traces of overstriking on reverse, otherwise, very fine.
