KINGS OF SOPHENE. Arkathias I, after circa 150 BC. Dichalkon (Bronze, 14.5 mm, 2.02 g, 1 h), Arkathiokerta (?). Bearded and diademed head of Arkathias I to left, wearing bashlyk. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ APKAΘIOY Nike standing to right, holding wreath in her right extended hand. ACV -. CAA -. Kovacs 23 (this obverse die). Struck from fresh dies; with an appealing dark patina, a splendid portrait and an extremely good condition for the type. Nearly extremely fine.
