This medal was issued in two types: one with an edge inscription and one without (as this). It is usually found as a cast medal, with beautifully struck examples being rather scarce, if not rare. In fact, most known examples of the present type were used as keepsakes and worn as a piece of personal adornment; they are, thus, usually found mounted and much used.
