Probus, 276-282. Aureus (Gold, 21 mm, 6.18 g, 6 h), Antioch, 281. IMP C M AVR - PROBVS AVG Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Probus to right. Rev. P M TR P V COS // IIII P P / ANT Probus, laureate and wearing consular robes, driving quadriga to left, holding an olive branch in his right hand and a globe-tipped scepter his in left. Calicó 4178 (same dies). RIC 914. Very rare; sharply struck and well-centered, a most attractive coin. Minor marks on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.

From an American collection.

For an extensive, if imaginative, discussion of this rare type - one of the few dated gold coins struck under Probus, do see the interesting noted to a die identical piece in NAC 97, 2016, 227. But do note that in their description the scepter carried by the emperor is termed 'eagle-tipped', rather than, as can be seen here, being somewhat oval shaped (a globe?, or perhaps, a highly symbolic egg containing an eagle??).
