AEOLIS. Kyme. Circa 165-140 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.48 g, 12 h), struck under the magistrate Kallias, c. 143 BC. Head of the Amazon Kyme right, wearing a tainia and with her hair bound in a bun at the back. Rev. ΚΥΜΑΙΩΝ / ΚΑΛΛΙΑΣ Bridled horse standing to right, his left foreleg raised; on the groundling to right, one-handled pitcher; all within a laurel wreath. du Chastel 254 (same obverse die = Oakley 19c). Oakley 19k (same dies). A very attractive and nicely toned example, well-centered and struck in high relief. Extremely fine.
