ETRURIA. Populonia. Circa 211-206 BC. 25 Asses (Gold, 13 mm, 1.41 g), struck during the Second Punic War. ΛΧΧ Lion's head to right, with open jaws and protruding tongue; border of dots. Rev. Blank. SNG ANS 2 (same dies). SNG Copenhagen 36 (same dies). Vecchi 47.21 (this coin). A splendid, sharp and toned coin. Extremely fine.
