CARIA. Uncertain mint. Circa 500-400 BC. Trihemiobol (Silver, 11.5 mm, 1.93 g, 6 h). Facing gorgoneion with protruding tongue and four wings evenly spaced around. Rev. Harpy, with four wings, flying to right within an incuse square. Cf. De Luÿnes 2751 (triobol). HN Online 2163.8 (trihemiobol, struck from the same dies). Cf. Traité II 1606 and pl. CXLV, 1 (triobol). Very rare. Boldly struck, toned, clear and far nicer than any of the nine examples known to HNO. Slightly porous, otherwise, good very fine.
