CORINTHIA. Corinth. Circa 405-345 BC. Stater (Silver, 23 mm, 8.27 g, 8 h). Ϙ Pegasos flying left with straight wings; below next to the koppa, tiny H. Rev. Head of Athena to right, wearing Attic helmet; in the field to left, forepart of a horse to left; below the helmet bowl, on the left, Ο. BCD -. Calciati 140. Ravel 420 (P205/T299). A very rare variety with the magistrate's initial, well-struck and nicely toned. Minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.

From a European collection formed prior to 2005.

The presence of the two extra letters, Η on the obverse and Ο on the reverse, is very unusual for Corinth. They must refer to the magistrate responsible for the issue.
