AEOLIS. Kyme. 4th century BC. Hemiobol (Silver, 8 mm, 0.32 g), struck under the magistrate Enilog... (?). K-Y Forepart of a horse to right. Rev. Ε-Ν-Ι-Λ-O-Γ (sic!) Rosette of six petals. Apparently unpublished with this reading, but cf. Traité II, 2, 2061 and pl. CLVII, 11 with ΕΠΙΛΟΓ. Very rare. Clear, well-struck and toned. Good very fine.

While this coin clearly reads Ενιλογ... that seems not to be part of any known Greek name; it seems likely that this was a mistake, but what it was a mistake for is another matter! Especially since Επιλογ..., the name given in the Traité, is also not a known Greek name! But, never-the-less, here it is.
