KINGS OF MACEDON. Philip III Arrhidaios, 323-317 BC. Hemidrachm (Silver, 14 mm, 2.12 g, 9 h), Babylon, c. 323-318/7. Head of youthful Herakles to right, wearing lion's skin headdress. Rev. BAΣIΛEΩΣ ΦΙΛΙΠΠΟΥ Zeus seated left on throne, holding eagle in his right hand and long scepter in his left; in the field to left, below eagle, M. Price P185. Bright and lustrous, a wonderful coin, elegant and struck from finely engraved dies. Extremely fine.
