KINGS OF THRACE. Lysimachos, 305-281 BC. Drachm (Silver, 17 mm, 4.22 g, 12 h), Ephesos, c. 294-287. Diademed head of the deified Alexander the Great to right, with horn of Ammon around his ear. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΛΥΣΙΜΑΧΟΥ Athena Nikephoros seated to left, holding Nike in her outstretched right hand, resting her left elbow on a shield by her side and with a transverse spear over her right shoulder; in the inner field to left, bow and quiver. Müller 296. Thompson 171. A splendid, very well-struck and well-preserved example of fine style. Some very minor roughness, otherwise, extremely fine.
