CALABRIA. Campano-Tarentine. Circa 281-228 BC. Didrachm or nomos (Silver, 20 mm, 7.18 g, 10 h). Diademed head of Satyra to left, wearing triple-pendant earring and simple pearl necklace. Rev. TA Nude youth on horseback right, crowning horse with wreath held in right hand; to left, dolphin right; below, lion crouching right. HN III 1098. Pozzi (Boutin) 317 (this coin). Vlasto 1022 (this obverse die). Wonderful old collection toning. Scratch under tone on obverse, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From the collection of a European Nobleman who died in 1940 (original collector's ticket included) and from those of C. Côte, R. Ratto 28 January 1929, 498 and S. Pozzi (sold privately and not in the sale).
