CELTIC, Lower Danube. Imitations of Thasos. Late 2nd-1st centuries BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 32 mm, 16.75 g, 6 h). Stylized wreathed head of young Dionysos to right. Rev. Stylized Herakles standing facing, head left, supporting club set on ground with right hand, and holding lion's skin draped over left arm. CCCBM I -. KMW -. Lanz -. OTA Class III. Highly stylized and very appealing. Extremely fine.
