CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Unelli - Normandy Group. Circa 2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 12.5 mm, 1.89 g, 9 h), "au glaive vertical" type. Celticized head of Apollo to right, with chubby features and a pearl necklace. Rev. Sword, downwards, with twisted hilt and decorated blade; to right, male figure dancing to left with a twisted cord above; to left, vine with twisted cord. Allen & Nash 191 (same dies). D & T 2056. De la Tour 6943. Rare. With an intriguingly complicated reverse. Some scuffs on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
