LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 325-275 BC. Diobol (Silver, 11 mm, 1.45 g, 1 h). Laureate head of Zeus Ammon to right, with ram’s horn around his ear. Rev. [ΜΕ] Ear of barley with six grains and leaf to right: to right, on leaf, tripod. HN III 1603. Johnston F6. SNG ANS 520. SNG Lloyd 397. Of excellent style. Struck on a tight flan with some marks and uncleaned deposits. About extremely fine.
