KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander I, 498-454 BC. Tetrobol (Silver, 14 mm, 2.23 g, 4 h), light thraco-macedonian standard, Aigai, Circa 476/5-460 BC. Horse standing to right. Rev. Quadripartite linear square with a kerykeion at the center; all within a shallow incuse square. Raymond pl. IX, a. SNG ANS -. SNG Munich 8. Very rare. Toned, clearly struck in high relief, and in unusually fine condition for the issue. Good very fine.
