BAKTRIA, Greco-Baktrian Kingdom. Eukratides I, Circa 170-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 33 mm, 16.95 g, 12 h), circa 170-164/3. Diademed and draped bust of Eukratides to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ ΕΥΚΡΑΤΙΔΟΥ The Dioskouroi galloping to right, each holding spear and palm branch; below to right, monogram. Bopearachchi Series 1D. HGC 12, 130. SNG ANS 432. Lustrous surfaces, excellent metal, and wonderfully well centered. A hint of die-shift on the obverse and weakness in the king's name on the reverse, otherwise, good extremely fine.
