ISLANDS OFF ATTICA, Aegina. c. 480-457 BC. Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 11.96 g). Sea turtle with line of pellets down the back of its shell; in right field, unusual banker's mark. Rev. Incuse square divided by skew-pattern into five compartments. HGC 6, 448. Milbank Pl. I, 15. SNG Copenhagen 507. An exceptionally interesting banker's mark, nicely toned and finely detailed. About extremely fine.
