ISLANDS off IONIA, Samos. Circa 310-300 BC. Didrachm (Silver, 6.57 g 5), Asklepiades. Lion’s mask facing. Rev. ΣΑ / ΑΣΚΛΗΠΙΑΔ[ΗΣ] Forepart of an ox to right, with a dotted truncation and an olive branch to right. Barron p. 214, 2 b (this coin). Attractively toned and struck on a broad flan. Nearly extremely fine.
