ARGOLIS, Argos. Circa 450-430/20 BC. Triobol (Silver, 2.94 g 12). Forepart of wolf at bay to left, with both legs extended and head erect; along truncation to right, Σ. Rev. Α within shallow incuse square containing two slightly deeper incuses above and a pellet below the cross bar. BCD Peloponnesos 1029 (this coin). BMC 14. Very rare variety. Nicely toned, well struck and attractive. About extremely fine.
