Faustina Junior, Augusta, 147-175. Sestertius (Orichalcum, 31mm, 26.13 g 12), Rome, struck under Marcus Aurelius, circa 176 and later. DIVA FAVSTINA PIA Veiled and draped bust of Faustina to right, with hair elaborately waved and knotted in chignon, low on neck. Rev. AETERNITAS / S - C Ceres standing front, her head turned to left, raising veil with her right hand and holding torch with her left. BMC 1560-1561 (Marcus Aurelius). Cohen 3. RIC 1691 (Marcus Aurelius). A most attractive example with a beautiful dark patina. Minor flan crack at 6 o’clock, otherwise, good very fine.

A lustrous and perfectly struck example. Good extremely fine.
