Antoninus Pius, as Caesar, 138. Denarius (Silver, 18mm, 3.20 g 6), Rome. IMP T AEL CAES HADRI ANTONINVS Bare head of Antoninus Pius to right. Rev. AVG PIVS P M TR P COS DE (sic!) II Minerva standing left, holding Victory in her right hand and shield with her left; spear leaning on her left arm. Cohen 67 and RIC 9 var. (reverse legend). An interesting piece with an error in its reverse legend. Somewhat irregular flan, otherwise, good very fine.

ΑΔΡΙΑΝWΝ ΜΟΨΕΑΤWΝ Eagle with spread wings standing facing, head turned to right; between legs, flaming altar. Prieur 728. SNG Paris 1969. Very rare. With a very attractive, idiosyncratic portrait of early type. Many light cleaning scratches, otherwise, very fine.

Somewhat rough surfaces, otherwise, very fine.
