CILICIA, Uncertain. 4th Century BC. Hemitetartemorion (Silver, 5mm, 0.11 g 11). Facing female head. Rev. Sphinx seated to left. Cf. SNG Paris 479 (Obol, with facing Gorgoneion). Very rare and nicely toned. Obverse struck somewhat off center, otherwise, good very fine.

This is possibly a smaller fraction of the Obols from an uncertain mint (Mallos? See above, lot 426) showing a facing Gorgoneion head on the obverse and a sphinx on the reverse.
