IONIA. Smyrna. Circa 155-145 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 35 mm, 16.44 g, 1 h). Turreted head of the Tyche of Smyrna to right. Rev. ΖΜΥΡ / ΝΑΙΩΝ in two lines within an oak wreath; below inscription, monogram. BMC 4 var. Milne p. 274, 2. SNG von Aulock 2161. An attractive and clear coin with a noble head of Tyche. Some very minor spots of edge corrosion and with light traces of double striking on the reverse, otherwise. Extremely fine.
