KINGS OF MACEDON. Alexander III ‘the Great’, 336-323 BC. Stater (Gold, 18 mm, 8.44 g, 12 h), Kallatis, circa 250-225. Helmeted head of Athena to right, wearing crested Corinthian helmet adorned with a serpent. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Nike standing to left, holding olive wreath in her right hand and stylis in her left; to left, monogram. Price 894. Well-centered, clear and of unusually fine style. Somewhat lightly struck, otherwise, about extremely fine.

From a European collection, ex Nomos 13, 7 October 2016, 173 and from a European collection formed in the earlier 1980s.
