CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Uncertain tribe, circa 3rd-2nd century BC. Quarter Stater (Gold, 11 mm, 1.84 g, 12 h), imitating the staters of Philip II of Macedon. Celticized head of Apollo to right. Rev. Horse galloping to right, charioteer holding reins. Delestrée & Tache 2015. Or Gaulois, pl. III, 13-15. Scheers pl.vii, 26. Rare. Reverse slightly off-center and with a minor nick on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
