LUCANIA. Metapontum. Circa 540-510 BC. Stater (Silver, 28 mm, 8.16 g, 12 h). ΜΕΤΑ Eight-grained barley ear; border of dots. Rev. Eight-grained barley ear, as above but incuse; rayed border. Noe 125. SNG ANS 215 (same dies). A beautifully toned, well-struck and lovely coin. Extremely fine.
