C. Hosidius C.f. Geta, 64 BC. Denarius (Silver, 18 mm, 3.96 g, 7 h), Rome. GETA - III VIR Draped bust of Diana to right, with bow and quiver over her shoulder. Rev. C HOSIDI C F Boar standing to right; beneath the boar to left, hound crouching right in position to attack. Babelon (Hosidia) 1 var (without a spear in the boar). BMCRR 3393. Crawford 407/2 note. Sydenham 903a. A very rare variety. Attractively toned and sharply struck. Minor scuff on the obverse, otherwise, extremely fine.
