CYPRUS. Salamis. Evagoras I, circa 411-374 BC. Stater (Silver, 23x19 mm, 11.09 g, 3 h). 𐠩𐠍đ Č𐠄𐠁 ('e-u-wa-ko-ro', in Cypriote syllabic script) Youthful Herakles seated right on rock draped with his lion's skin, leaning on club held in his right hand and holding rhyton in his left. Rev. 𐠩𐠃𐠐đ Ș𐠞 ('pa-si-le-wo[-se]' in Cypriote syllabic script) Male goat recumbent to right. Masson & Amandry 1a-c. Very rare. Most attractive and unusually well-struck for this issue. Struck on an oblong flan, otherwise, about extremely fine.
