CILICIA. Mallos. Circa 440-390 BC. Stater (Silver, 20 mm, 11.08 g, 9 h). Bearded male diety (Kronos?), with four wings, in the running-kneeling position to left, holding a solar disc with both hands. Rev. ΜΑΡ Swan with closed wings walking to left. Casabonne Type 2 var. (swan right). Cf. SNG BN 375-376 (same obverse die, but with the swan to right). SNG Levante -. Struck from a worn reverse die as is typically the case, otherwise, nearly very fine.

MAP Swan standing left; before, dolphin swimming downwards; behind, "ankh" symbol. Casabonne Group 4. SNG BN 378. Cf. SNG Levante 124 (with obverse legend MAΛΡ). Attractive dark find patina. Obverse struck a little off-center, otherwise, good very fine.
