Rev. MAKE/ΔONΩN Club; below, two monograms; all within oak-wreath. AMNG 32. SNG Copenhagen 1294. Touratsoglou, Macedon, pl. 7, 12. Sharply struck, well-centered example with an exceptional head of Poseidon. Small edge chip on the edge, otherwise, nearly extremely fine.

Drachm (Silver, 15 mm, 2.57 g, 9 h), pseudo-Rhodian type, struck for the mercenaries of Perseus during the Third Macedonian War, uncertain mint, probably in Samothrace, 171-168, with the name of the Rhodian mint magistrate Gorgos. Head of Helios facing slightly to right. Rev. ΓOPΓOΣ / P - O Rose with bud right; to left, kerykeion. Ashton, Clubs 1 (A1/P1). Extremely fine.
