LUCANIA. Velia. Circa 340-334 BC. Nomos (Silver, 22 mm, 7.50 g, 6 h). Head of Athena to right, wearing crested Attic helmet decorated with griffin; behind neckguard, monogram of P·. Rev. YEΛHTΩN Lion walking to right; below, monogram of P·. HN III 1284. SNG ANS 1297 ( same dies). Williams 265 (O153/R208). Centered on a broad flan. Rough surfaces, otherwise, about very fine.
