PHOENICIA. Tyre. Elagabalus, 218-222. (Bronze, 24 mm, 8.11 g, 11 h). IMP CAES M AV ANTONINVS AV Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust of Elagabalus to right. Rev. SEP TVRO METR COLONI Astarte standing facing, right foot on prow, placing right hand on trophy and holding scepter in left, and being crowned by Nike standing left on low column; at her feet to left, Marsyas standing right, raising right arm and holding wineskin over his shoulder with left; to right, murex shell. BMC 390. SNG Copenhagen 364 var (palm to left). Dark brown patina. Very fine.
