ΑYΤ Κ Μ ΑYΠ ΑΝΤΩΝEΙΝΟC CΕΒ Marcus Aurelius seated on curule chair left, holding globe in right hand, being crowned with wreath by Nike flying left behind him. Rev. ΙEΡΟΠΟΛΙΤΩΝ ΤΩΝ ΠΡΟ ΤΩ ΠΥΡΑΜ Draped bust of youthful Dionysos to right, wearing ivy wreath, thyrsos over far shoulder; to right, grape bunch. RPC IV.3 Online temp. 6180. SNG von Aulock 8677-8. Attractive reddish-brown patina with earthen highlights. Well-centered and struck. Very fine.
